In order to expand their lineup and reach a different kind of consumer, Land Rover/Range Rover developed a new small crossover that was less expensive and also smaller than the models that preceded it. The new model, called the Evoque received a warm reception and has been quite a popular seller since it was introduced due to its price, fuel economy, and style. The new model’s success has led to one British aftermarket design team to creating a new upgrade program for the Range Rover SUV. Called the RS250 Evoque, the new upgrade program features a new Blue exterior paint scheme and features numerous body work components and concave Range Rover wheels that give it a new look. The company even addressed the interior design of the SUV by installing a fully-custom cabin with an array of special features.
The aftermarket design team and its engineers first addressed the exterior design of the Evoque. The SUV was first equipped with its bodywork before the entire SUV was repainted. The front was given a new bumper, three-dimensional mesh grille, lower grille mesh inserts, LED daytime running lights, company lettering across the hood, headlight trim, a lower spoiler insert, and side lighting. Each side wears new enamel badges, a pair of side skirts and door sills that run between the new Range Rover wheels, matte grey door handles, and a special under car lighting system to aid entry at night. The rear of the car was finished off with a new bumper that accommodates the exhaust outlets, a roof spoiler, and a trunk badge. The entire Evoque was then given an Imperial Blue base paint color that was contrasted by a silver-painted hood and a black roof that runs to the rear of the SUV.
After the body work was installed and everything was painted, the British aftermarket design team then installed a new set of concave forged rims and a new stainless steel exhaust system. The factory rims were removed and replaced with new concave Range Rover wheels that measure 9.0 x 21 at the front and rear axles and provide the SUV with a more muscular stance. Each wheel is fitted with Michelin sport tires and uses the factory logos on the center hub. An aftermarket exhaust system also replaced the factory setup and utilizes a valve control system that alters the volume of the engine depending on the position of the throttle pedal. Behind the Range Rover wheels sit newly painted blue brake calipers to complement the exterior paint scheme.
Inside, the British design team installed a custom-tailored interior. All of the seats, the doors, dashboard, and glove box were given a coat of black leather and alcantara with quilted stitching. New floor mats, foot pedals, gauges, and clock were also installed to give the Evoque a special and luxurious feel.
